The Haunted House
Two nights inside the historic Watertown Masonic Temple. Doors at 6, closed at 10. Every ticket goes straight back into Youth of Lewis County.

Built to scare. Not a children's walk-through.

Not handicap accessible. The Temple is a historic building — stairs throughout, and no wheelchair route.

A quieter way through
Two hours before the regular night, for anyone who would find the full haunt too much. Same route through the same building, with the lights up and the noise down. Tickets are $5 for these hours.

Family Fright Night
Trunk-or-treat, vendors, yard games, a costume contest, the Monster Dash, and a movie on the grass once it gets dark. Free to get in, free to play, free to watch.

Decorated trunks handing out candy. Come in costume.
Local makers with spooky and handmade goods.
Running all afternoon.
Youth and adult divisions, trophies for both.
Monsters versus humans, like sharks and minnows. Run for the far side and keep your flags. Get caught and you join the monsters. Last human standing wins a trophy.
6:30, once it is properly dark. Bring a blanket or a chair.
Free to get in, free to play, free to watch. The vendors are there to sell, so bring a few dollars if you want to shop.
The movie is the only thing weather can cancel. Everything else runs rain or shine. If it is off, we post it here by 5 PM that day.

North Country Scare is the Halloween arm of Youth of Lewis County — haunts and seasonal events built by the same volunteers behind the Lewis County Ren Faire and the North Country Talent Show.

Before you come
How much are Haunted House tickets?
$10 each, or $5 for the sensory-friendly hours on Saturday afternoon. On sale now at givebutter.com/ncshaunt.
How scary is the Haunted House, really?
Scary enough that we are telling you it is for older teens and adults. Dark rooms, loud noises, and actors working every corner of a building that already does half the work for them.
Are there sensory-friendly hours?
Yes — Saturday, October 31 from 4 to 6 PM, two hours before the regular haunt opens. Same route, lights up, noise down, and $5 instead of $10.
Will the actors touch me?
No. Our actors never touch anyone — no grabbing, no poking, no hands on you, on either night.
Is the Masonic Temple accessible?
No. It is a historic building — stairs throughout, and no wheelchair route. We are sorry to be blunt about it.
Can I bring my kids?
Not to this one. It is not a children’s walk-through, and we would steer young kids away from it. Family Fright Night on October 17 is the one built for them.
Where does the money go?
Youth of Lewis County. It is a fundraiser run by the same volunteers behind the Lewis County Ren Faire and the North Country Talent Show.
Can I volunteer or help out?
Yes — actors, build crew, door staff. Casting calls and build days go out through Youth of Lewis County.
